Audi Repair Shop Weighs in on Tire Types – Part 1 Import and European cars are sexy. They have distinctive body styles, features, and they are often chosen for their luxury and performance. But when we describe the way a car “feels” on the road, how often do we attribute that feeling to the tires? Lovers of Audi cars have a new reason to rejoice as the German car manufacturer unveiled the 2015 Audi TT Roadster in the recent 2014 Paris Auto Show and announced that the model is already available for orders. Running on a turbocharged 211-hp TFSI® engine, the car is described to offer people a ride like the wind. CNET reporter Tim Stevens recently provided a comprehensive review and features assessment of the 2015 TT Roadster: The 2015 TT Roadster is the culmination of enthusiasts’ expectations of Audi vehicles after seeing some of the company’s latest roll outs, which included some of the industry’s most luxurious and high-tech models to date. The 2015 variant offers drivers both luxury and efficiency that can be expected only from a coupé and a sports car, which is why many car buyers need to be concerned about the proximity of trusted Audi service providers in their area. Time is such a precious commodity. For centuries, the human race has fought to find ways for time to slow down. Many new inventions are born from the desire to make life easier and give us more time, yet we are still racing around feeling like there are just not enough hours in each day. From the wheel to the engine to the automobile, transportation has come a very long way. According to Wikipedia, Carl Benz patented his invention of the first “practical” automobile in January, 1886. In the following 40 years, many improvements, and mergers, were made and in 1926, the Mercedes Benz brand was born. Europe was decades ahead of the United States when it came to automobile invention and, to this day, German-engineering has produced some of the finest high-performance cars on the road. Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi and Volkswagen are in a class of their own, both for performance and luxury. Modern-d ... read more
After a tough couple of years, the automotive industry is once again on the upswing. In fact, conditions are so good that even sales of pricey luxury cars are on the rise.
It’s interesting to note, however, that foreign brands are taking the lead in the luxury vehicle market. Take for example BMW, which recently published a press release detailing its record-breaking August sales: It’s not just the BMW that has found renewed popularity in the U.S, though, as sales reports show that four of the five best-selling luxury cars last month were foreign brands. According to Fool.com, this trend can be attributed to the fact that foreign cars have a reputation for exceptional quality, stylish design, and a broad selection of models ranging from entry-level choices to deluxe options. It doesn’t hurt that these vehicles cost roughly the same as American luxury cars, making it easier for buyers to jump ship and try a foreign brand on their next purchase. Of course, as foreign ... read more
I was nearing the end of a 2-year lease on a Honda Civic, my first brand-new car. It was a 2-door and had a manual transmission. The car was small, but it was just the two of us and the payments were low. As I shopped around, I kept thinking about how I wanted to “upgrade” to a nicer car and it seemed like my options were plentiful. The civic was white and I was sure I didn’t want another white car. Since I’d already paid my stick-shift “dues”, I was also sure I was going to get an automatic. The only part I waffled on was going into another lease. It seemed like such a fantastic deal to get a brand-new car every two years, have all of the maintenance and repairs included and still have the option to buy it outright at the end of the term. (We rarely consider the fine print when we’re young and inexperienced.) I had always loved the idea of driving around in a convertible Volkswagen Cabriolet, like the girl in Can’t Buy Me Love, but they were not making that model at the time ... read more
The hunt is on for your next new car and you want to be “in the know.” You’ve decided that a luxury, high-performance car is going to be yours and German-engineering is important, so the field has been narrowed to BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz. We’ve previously discussed all the benefits of buying Audi, so now it’s time to explore whether or not BMW is actually your “Ultimate Driving Machine.” BMW has multiple class options, including a sedan and SUV, but we are focusing on the mid-point level of the 3-series. It is a strong contender in terms of body style options, expanding diversity within the class in late 2013 with two brand new models, the sport wagon and the Gran Turismo 5-door hatchback. The 3-series offers 4 different models with only slight visual differentiation, but with the engine options, the combinations exceed 12+. BMW has a distinctive sporty look and the front, split-center grill highligh ... read more
As children, we dreamt of what we wanted to be when we grew up. Some of us enjoyed the idea of being a hero, some of us hoped to have a job doing something we loved in our childhood and then there are those of us that sought to find fame and fortune. Regardless of which profession we chose, most of us share the desire for success.
Success can be defined differently by people, as its definition is influenced by values, culture and perspective. However, no one would argue that “success” is assumed when we see someone living in a huge, beautiful house on a hill, or driving a beautiful luxury car. But, why do we make that assumption? Is it, perhaps, because we equate success with having the finer things in life? Absolutely! The “finer things in life” used to be a luxury only afforded to the rich and famous, but more and more people are working to get their piece of the pie. The number of luxu ... read more
For years, the sedan was the car type of choice in the U.S. Now, the tables have officially turned, because in a recent survey by IHS Automotive, it has become apparent that Americans are leaning more toward SUVs over sedans. If the check engine light in your Audi dashboard pops up, do not stress. The check engine light could easily indicate a range of problems, from a loose gas cap to a major fuel leak. Before you begin to calculate how much a major Audi repair would cost, make sure you take your Audi in for service and inspection to find out what is wrong with the vehicle. If the light is flashing, turn off your vehicle as soon as possible and have it towed to the nearest Audi-certified mechanic in Brandon, FL. Your mechanic can run an engine diagnostic test to determine the cause of the check engine light and the Audi service and repairs needed to fix the problem. According to ... read more
BMW owners know that when the check engine light comes on your dashboard, you should take your vehicle in for BMW service and inspection to determine the source of the problem. While check engine lights could be triggered by something as small as a lose gas cap, they could also indicate a larger BMW repair such as a leaking exhaust or fuel system. Unlike other lights that pop on the dashboard to indicate that its time for your routine BMW service, the check engine light is often associated with some sort of BMW repair. The light will appear one of two ways on your dashboard to indicate the type of problem your BMW is experiencing. A steady light means that you should take your BMW in to your local BMW-certified mechanic in Brandon. A flashing light means that you need to pull over and turn off your vehicle immediately because the problem is serio ... read more
